Block Sender for Gmail privacy policy
Block Sender for Gmail is a Chrome extension. It adds a Block button beside Report spam in Gmail. This policy describes what the extension does with information.
What it accesses
The first time you click Block, the extension asks for your consent before it reads anything.
After you continue, it reads only the sender name, email address, and subject of the messages you selected in the list, or of the email you have open. It uses that information only to start Gmail’s own Block action. Future mail from that sender goes to Spam.
It does not read message bodies. It does not ask for your Google password.
What it stores
The only data the extension stores is one local flag, in chrome.storage.local on your browser, recording that you accepted the disclosure. It does not store sender names, email addresses, or subjects.
Nothing is sent to any server. Nothing is sold or used for ads. Uninstalling the extension removes the flag.
Why
The extension uses the sender name, email address, and subject only to start Gmail’s Block action for the messages you chose.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
Use of this data follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Gmail
When a sender is blocked, Gmail stores that block in your Google account. You can remove it in Gmail under Settings, then See all settings, then Filters and Blocked Addresses.
