Download PromptBank
Save a prompt once, then drop it into any chat box. Free direct download while the Chrome Web Store listing waits on a higher extension limit. No account.
The zip unpacks to a folder. Do not drag the zip into Chrome.
Install
- Download
PromptBank.zip. It lands in Downloads. - Move the zip to Documents. On a Mac, drag it there. On Windows, right-click it, choose Cut, then in Documents right-click and choose Paste.
- Unzip it there. On a Mac, double-click the zip. On Windows, right-click it and choose Extract all. A folder named PromptBank appears.
- Leave the PromptBank folder in Documents. Don't delete it and don't move it after installing, or the extension stops working. The zip itself can be deleted.
- In Chrome, type
chrome://extensionsin the address bar and press Enter. - Turn on Developer mode, at the top right.
- Choose Load unpacked.
- Open Documents, select the PromptBank folder, and choose Select. On Windows the button says Open.
- Pin it: click the puzzle piece at the right of the Chrome toolbar, then the pin next to PromptBank.
- Click the PromptBank icon to open your bank. On a chat site, a Prompts button sits above the message box.
A newer version
Download the zip again and unzip it over the PromptBank folder in Documents. Then open chrome://extensions and choose Reload on PromptBank.
Remove
On chrome://extensions, choose Remove. Then delete the PromptBank folder from Documents. The prompts saved in this browser go with the extension. Details are on the privacy policy.
